10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Women’s Museum™ & West Village – Today you’ll visit The Women’s Museum™ in Fair Park. This sprawling, 277-acre park is a National Historic Landmark. It’s also the home of the Texas State Fair, Big Tex, and the Texas Star–the world’s largest Ferris wheel. Fair Park offers other attractions, too, including fine examples of Art Deco architecture, the Dallas Aquarium, the Dallas Horticulture Center, the Age of Steam Railroad Museum, the Texas Hall of State, the African-American Museum, the Cotton Bowl, and the Texas Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The Women’s Museum™ is an affiliate of the Smithsonian and the first comprehensive museum of women’s history. Its mission is twofold: to honor past contributions of American women and to help shape the future through innovative educational programs. Following your tour of the museum, indulge yourself in a unique shopping experience at West Village. There you’ll find lots of edgy boutiques, chain stores, restaurants and coffee shops to entertain you. (Travel takes about 30 minutes each way, and about 15 minutes between Fair Park and West Village; lunch is “on your own.”)

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Modern & Kimbell Museums – You’re in for a real treat on today’s tour of two great museums. At the Kimbell Art Museum, you’ll discover works dating from antiquity to the 20th century, including masterpieces by Duccio, Fra Angelico, Mantegna, Caravaggio, El Greco, La Tour, Rubens, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Houdon, Goya, David, Monet, Cézanne, Picasso, Matisse and Mondrian. You’ll also find a substantial collection of Asian art, small but select collections of Pre-Columbian and African art, and Classical, Egyptian and Near Eastern antiquities. Following a delightful lunch at JT Garcia’s, you’ll visit The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Focusing on international developments in post-World War II art in all media, The Modern warmly promotes interest in and understanding of art and artists. Its permanent collections of more than 3,000 works include pieces by Anselm Kiefer, Robert Motherwell, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Gerhard Richter, Susan Rothenberg, Richard Serra, Andres Serrano, Cindy Sherman, and Andy Warhol. (Travel takes about 40 minutes each way.)
