Youth/Teen Activities

The Youth/Teen Center will be at the Gaylord Texan™. All Youth/Teen tours also will depart from and return to the Gaylord Texan™. For this program Youth ages are 7-11; Teen ages are 12-17.

Remember . . . Children and teenagers may not participate in any activities unless they are properly registered and their parents or guardians have signed their release forms.

Saturday, June 21

6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Sign-Ups & Youth/Teen Center – Come meet new friends! See your pals from last year! Find out about the exciting week ahead! There’ll also be videos, board games, art projects, music and more for you to enjoy this evening. Counselors will be on hand to get everyone signed up for the program.

Sunday, June 22

7:30 - 10:00 a.m.
Breakfast, Sign-Ups & Tour Departure Area – Enjoy breakfast in the Youth/Teen Center this morning and then hang out with your new friends before today’s tour. Counselors will be available again this morning to make sure everyone signs up.

10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Adventures in the Southwest: Six Flags Over Texas – Today, you’ll head to Six Flags Ferris WheelOver Texas to enjoy heart-pounding rides, games and entertainment for a day and evening of never-ending fun. From the Superman and Boomerang coasters to the Scream free-fall machine, electric cars, Ferris wheel, train ride and merry-go-round, there’s something for everyone at this park. (Travel takes about 25 minutes each way; includes lunch and dinner.)

7:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Youth/Teen Center: Table Games, Snacks & Videos – Table games, videos and other activities will be available for you to enjoy with your new friends this evening. Of course, there’ll also be some tasty snacks.

Monday, June 23

7:30 - 10:00 a.m.
Youth/Teen Center – Have breakfast with your parents before arriving; then relax with friends before today’s activities.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Challenge Your Mind & Body: Gameworks Arcade & Lunar Golf – Start your day by showing off your skills at Gameworks Arcade, the ultimate entertainment experience! With over 200 interactive video games and attractions, there’s a game for everyone, including favorites like Pac Man and MaxFlight–a one-of-a-kind vertical reality game that features a three-story high screen and mechanical jump seats. After lunch you’ll enjoy playing Lunar Mini Golf, going on a mini shopping spree, or taking in a movie at the mall’s theater. (Travel takes about 15 minutes each way; includes lunch.)

4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Youth/Teen Center – Meet your parents in the Youth/Teen Center after today’s tour.

5:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Tuesday, June 24

7:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Breakfast & Youth/Teen Center – Have breakfast in the Youth/Teen Center this morning. Then relax before today’s tour.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Splash in the Sun: Dallas World Aquarium & NRH20 Water Park – Loads of fun and excitement are in store again today, starting with the Dallas World Aquarium. There you’ll see fascinating marine life from such exotic places as Palau, Southern Australia, the Solomon Islands, Fiji, the Bahamas, British Columbia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Japan. You’ll also experience a panoramic view of reef life from a tunnel beneath a 22,000 gallon aquarium! Next, you’ll head for the NRH2O Water Park, where you can beat the Texas heat by floating in the Endless River, gliding down water slides, catching waves, or just relaxing in the shade. If you’re a daredevil, try riding The Green Extreme–a water slide that’s seven stories tall and over 1,100 feet long! (Travel takes about 30 minutes between each location; includes lunch.)

4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Youth/Teen Center – Relax with your friends in the Youth/Teen Center after today’s tour.

5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Dinner, Table Games & Videos – Have dinner with your friends in the Youth/Teen Center this evening. Then enjoy games, videos and snacks the rest of the evening. It’ll be a great time to talk about all the fun you’ve had, and to say good-bye to all your friends.
