How a webinar works

All EASA Webinars are live events in which the audio is presented via toll-free telephone and the visuals are simultaneously transmitted over the Internet. Prior to the program, you will receive a toll-free telephone number for the audio portion, as well as a Web link and access code for the visual content. The presentation portion of the Webinar will last about 45 minutes, followed by about 15 minutes of questions and answers. During the question and answer portion, you will have the opportunity to ask questions.

What do I need?

To participate in the live Webinar, you will need:

a touch-tone telephone
a computer with Internet access
a compatible Web browser with Flash

A toll-free phone number for the audio portion of the Webinar is included with your registration fee (one phone connection per site). Web conferencing services will be provided by ReadyTalk.

Before registering for an EASA Webinar, please check to make sure you have:
- A supported computer system
- A compatible Web browser (run test)

To view a Webinar recording, you will need:

a computer with Internet access and sound playback capability
a compatible Web browser with Flash

Automatic alignment instruments are no substitute for understanding the underlying process of aligning direct coupled machines. This webinar will explain the simple calculations that govern the alignment process. That understanding will allow technicians to use any alignment tool more effectively, and deal with issues that confound the process.

Before joining EASA as Pump and Vibration Specialist, Gene Vogel operated his own business, General Maintenance Equipment/Engineering, Inc. (GME), a marketing, service and training organization for industrial maintenance and related technologies. Among other courses, he taught a "Pumps and Pump Systems" seminar for American Trainco. He also has an extensive background in vibration and dynamic balancing, and chaired the St. Louis Chapter of the Vibration Institute from 1993-2000.

Webinar registration policies

Fees are per site, not per person, and include one telephone connection. To make the experience more enjoyable and to allow more than one person to participate, use of a speaker-phone is recommended.

Registrants who cancel will receive refunds only if the request is received at least 48 hours before the event is scheduled to begin. No refunds will be made to "No Shows."

EASA reserves the right to cancel Webinars if enrollment is insufficient. In such cases, EASA will notify registrants by phone, fax or e-mail at least 7 days in advance and fully refund their registration fees.

EASA also reserves the right to substitute instructors if a scheduled presenter is not available due to unforeseen circumstances. (Note: Some instructors are independent contractors and not employees of EASA.
