How a webinar works

All EASA Webinars are live events in which the audio is presented via toll-free telephone and the visuals are simultaneously transmitted over the Internet. Prior to the program, you will receive a toll-free telephone number for the audio portion, as well as a Web link and access code for the visual content. The presentation portion of the Webinar will last about 45 minutes, followed by about 15 minutes of questions and answers. During the question and answer portion, you will have the opportunity to ask questions.

What do I need?

To participate in the live Webinar, you will need:

a touch-tone telephone
a computer with Internet access
a compatible Web browser with Flash

A toll-free phone number for the audio portion of the Webinar is included with your registration fee (one phone connection per site). Web conferencing services will be provided by ReadyTalk.

Before registering for an EASA Webinar, please check to make sure you have:

This webinar will stress the importance of taking accurate winding data and explain and emphasize the consequences of inaccurate data. Details will be provided on how to take accurate electrical and mechanical data; and how to verify that the data is correct. One of the main benefits of this webinar will be an improved ability to “get it right the first time” so as to avoid the added cost and time of another rewind to correct errors.

This webinar will be most useful for service center winders, engineers, supervisors and managers. The content will be beneficial for beginners through highly experienced persons.

About the presenter

Tom Bishop, P.E.
EASA Senior Technical Support Specialist

Tom Bishop is a senior technical support specialist with the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA). Bishop joined the EASA staff in 2002 with over 30 years of hands-on and engineering experience at electrical machinery manufacturing and apparatus service firms. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer.

Bishop has authored dozens of technical articles and papers, and presented numerous seminars on electric motor application, maintenance and repair. In addition, he is chairman of EASA’s Technical Services Committee and a principal member of the National Fire Protection Association Electrical Equipment Maintenance Committee (NFPA 70B).

Webinar registration policies

Fees are per site, not per person, and include one telephone connection. To make the experience more enjoyable and to allow more than one person to participate, use of a speaker-phone is recommended.

Registrants who cancel will receive refunds only if the request is received at least 48 hours before the event is scheduled to begin. No refunds will be made to "No Shows."

EASA reserves the right to cancel Webinars if enrollment is insufficient. In such cases, EASA will notify registrants by phone, fax or e-mail at least 7 days in advance and fully refund their registration fees.

EASA also reserves the right to substitute instructors if a scheduled presenter is not available due to unforeseen circumstances. (Note: Some instructors are independent contractors and not employees of EASA.
