How to Wind Three-Phase Stators

Highlights of EASA's Newest Learning Tool

More than 500 members have already ordered EASA's new CD-ROM-based interactive learning tool. Now you can test drive this highly praised resource and see for yourself why members are so excited about it!

How to Wind Three-Phase Stators employs a richly detailed, step-by-step approach that mixes narrative, video clips, stills and animations to teach the entire winding process–from taking data through testing the finished winding. The CD-ROM contains approximately 800 "slides" and about 4 1/2 hours of video and audio narration. Although it is designed for novices, experienced winders also will benefit from the instruction.

This course focuses on the rewinding of three-phase random wound stators and is intended primarily for new winders with little or no winding experience. It can also be used to reinforce and expand the knowledge of more experienced winders. Many of the techniques and principles used for three-phase random windings also apply to armatures, wound rotors, field coils, and form-coil stator windings, which makes this learning tool even more versatile.

Additionally, the CD includes "Drill-downs" and "Pro Tips" that provide in-depth information and resources that even the most experienced technicians will find extremely helpful. The CD is interactive and self-paced. Learners can repeat each section and test their retention as many times as they like, until they are comfortable with the material. By practicing the techniques from the video segments, they also will learn to rewind motors more quickly than by using only the traditional “on-the-job training.”

To find out more about this exciting learning tool, read the course overview (pdf), which explains the course objectives and briefly describes the content of each of the 13 lessons.* Then download and try a limited version of this product for the free 15-day trial period.
