EASA Limited Warranties
Revised February 1999
Members of Electrical Apparatus Service Association should apply the procedures set forth on the following pages in their performance of the services commonly rendered by members of the Association, to the end that their work products will meet or exceed acceptable standards and the reputation of the industry will be thereby enhanced.
The following are intended to be minimum standards and warranties and any member desiring to establish higher standards or to offer greater warranties may do so. Lower standards or lesser warranties may only be provided under express agreement between the member and the customer.
The following limited warranties are intended to conform to and be consistent with the Uniform Commercial Code. However, since a state that has adopted the Uniform Commercial Code is not required to adopt it verbatim, the state in which your business is located may have different requirements than the model code used in formulating these warranties. Therefore, before relying on these limited warranties, we strongly advise that a member consult with its attorney to determine whether or not this language is sufficient or if modifications are needed in order to be in compliance with your state's Code requirements.
