EASA Region 1 Fall Tech ConferenceThursday, October 11, 2018 to Saturday, October 13, 2018
Region 1 Fall Technical Conference
Hello and Welcome,
The Region 1 Fall Technical Conference Committee has been hard at work putting together an extraordinary program for this year. I am excited to share that we will be in the historic city of Valley Forge, PA. This place has an amazing past and lots of opportunity to hear and see the stories played out. For those that like action packed nights, we are staying at the Valley Forge Casino Resort so you won’t have far to go with all those purses of winnings you will get.
The nuts and bolts of the Fall Technical Program will have you sending as many of your employees this year as you can. With the “Buy One Get One ½ Off” of the technical registration, we have heard your concerns for money saving training and are putting it into action. We have EASA Pump & Vibration Specialist Gene Vogel coming for training on Vertical Pump and Motor Mechanical Repair and Vibration Analysis Fundamentals. This is an inexpensive way to get top notch technical support without having to travel to St. Louis or you missed the international Convention. Bill Potts will be a guest speaker on Bearing Basics and Internal Clearances. Tim Good will be our guest speaker on Motors and Controls/Drives. For the techy folks we have Troy Locke from Springpoint speaking on Managing Your Business Through Automation and Tom Harper for Cyber Security in the work place. It will be a jam-packed conference for sure.
We haven’t forgotten our companions and families either, they will be off studying the historical landmarks and enjoying lunch and surprises throughout the conference. We will be kicking off the conference Thursday with our Golf outing and you won’t want to miss this facility designed by classic golf architect Donald Ross with comradery and friendly competition to boot. I can’t leave out the exhibit time with many vendors sharing new exciting products and services. It’s a great time to meet new vendors and bring those concerns to talk one-on-one with your favorite old timers. There will be lots of time to reminisce with old friends and make new ones while enjoying everything about the 2018 Fall Technical Conference. Since we haven’t had a Fall Tech for several years we anticipate this year filling up fast, so get your information in quickly, and I look forward to meeting and seeing each of you there.

EASA chapter officers will have the opportunity to take advantage of valuable training at the 2019 Chapter Leadership Forum scheduled March 22-23, 2019, in St. Louis, Missouri. The event will be held at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.
Be sure to put these dates on your chapter calendar. Registration details will be provided in late 2018.
If you’re a new chapter leader, or recently became one, make a note of this future program. You might want to talk to those who attended the training before in order to get a better idea of what to expect. The last two-day Chapter Leadership Forum was held in March 2017.
The Chapter Leadership Forum is designed to give chapter officers and others the training they need to lead their chapters and to fulfill the duties of their respective offices.[field_resource_private_files]
